Why We Need To Respect Our Burnout

When we are deep in stress it feels like the only way out is through more stress.

We unknowingly punish ourselves by working 80 hours a week.

How dare we burn out, how dare we not be productive.

We think that once we finish this project we can do something for ourselves
…only to have our boss give us another one, so we can rest after that project we say, and then on & on & on.

The simple truth is: if you were going to heal your burnout on your own… you probably would have done it by now.

I’m telling you this because we FORGET to water our own roots. If we do remember to water our own roots- FORGET to add the plant food so our roots can GROW STRONG.

My task for you today is- Respect your burnout, respect your stress.

When we respect something, we can honor how we got there- only then can we start to heal it.

But if you keep pretending that it isn’t that bad, if you keep disrespecting it, letting it become a wordless adversary, your stress will continue to build.

It will continue to put weight on your body.
It will continue to put stress on your heart.
It will continue to have you make short-sighted decisions.

It will only make itself louder until it very easily brings you illness.

So, step up and respect your burnout.
Step up & breathe light into YOUR truth.

Step up, be bold & ask for help.

You deserve to live life without burnout.

Love,
Marisa
